I did a presentation in class yesterday. My pesentation went like this.....

Do you have a past experience in which you feel you have played your role differently?

Well, I have one to share!
Here’s my story…
            When I was 14 years old, I was chosen to run in my school  relay, which was the last and the most important for my class to win on the field day. I really did not want to run because I was shy but my classmates said that I could run fast so I should run. Nobody listened to me and nobody could understand me, so I ran away from school. I thought I would never go back to school again. However, my friends came to my house and said that I did not have to run anymore because one of my classmates would run instead of me. I was relieved so I went to school the next day. However, the person who was supposed to run instead of me told me that she did not want to run because she could not run fast like me. I gave in and decided to run. On the field day, I was reluctant to run. I could run fast but I did not do so. Perhaps, I wanted revenge this way because my classmates were forcing me to run. The anchor of my class ran very fast, so she outstripped 2 runners. While running, she was crying because she really wanted to win. When I saw her crying, her tears communicated themselves to me. Suddenly, I realized that I made an irrevocable decision. I was ashamed of myself and regretted my irresponsible action.

This event taught me how I should live. Since then, I have become responsible for my actions. I have learned that even if I am reluctant to do something, I should try my best. This way I would not regret that it could have been different if I would have tried.

 I enjoyed doing my presentation. One of my classmates said that I would be an good English teacher, so I was happy!!

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday was Rica's birthday. First of all, we went to Rica's room in the morning and celebrated with a pot of flowers, a balloon, and a small cake. She was surprised and asked us when we prepared the presents. At night, we went to the courtyard with a big cake, orange juice and some snacks. We invited our classmates and waited for Rica. Rica was surprised again, but looked happy. Then, Niisha and three chinese girls came and joined the party. We were sure that we had a really good time yesterday!

library

When I am in my room, I cannot focus on my studies. I can eat some food and listen to music etc. However, in the library, I can concentrate on my study. It is quiet and the books scent the library. The only thing that I want to complain about is the temperature of the library. It is too cold for me, and I have to bring my cardigan. Otherwise, I will die of coldness. ((>-<)))

Rica, Shiho, Alex Po, Niisha, Sasha, and I went to Lei' s room yesterday. We talked about shopping, and Niisha said that she would kiss the frog tomorrow after drinking alcohol. She would marry the frog and Alex Po would be a flower girl. I enjoyed listening to their story. Sasha took many pictures of us. Afterwards, Niisha became DJ, and we danced together!

Today, I woke up at 1 p.m. (><) I have to study for the final test!!

oil shock!

While Majed was driving his car, he told me about his country, Saudi Arabia. Many people living in Saudi Arabia practice polygamy, so if he wants to have four wives, he can. Not only did he come to America for free but he also did not pay the tuition because his government paid for him. He can go back to his country and come back to America for free once a year. He even gets a salary each month. According to him, any Saudi Arabian can study abroad for free and get salary from the government. I was shocked and could not believe with his story. Anyway, thank you for telling and driving, Majed^^

citibank

 The citibank cards were supposed to arrive at our university two weeks ago. However, there was a problem with Shiho's mail box, so we could not get the cards. We asked the bank staff to send the cards to the citibank last week, and finally we got the cards today! Thank you for driving, Majed!

I played racquetball with Lei, and we counted how many times our rallies kept going for. I learned how to count one to ten in Chinese and Lei learned this in Japanese. Lei goes to the gym almost every day, so she has improved playing racquetball. We can rally over ten times, so we have to learn how to count numbers greater than ten.

Scale

I went to the gymnasium to take yoga class, but the teacher did not show up again. However, I met an American woman in the restroom and she showed me how to use the scale. From now on, I will be able to check my weight.

Russian facebook

I created the Russian equivalent of facebook account. According to Alex Po, I can watch and listen to videos and music on this site. I do not how to use it yet, but I will figure it out.

piano

Mikhail said that he bought a piano, and would bring it to our romantic room. However, I did not believe him because he lies a lot. He came and showed the piano to me. Although it was small, I was surprised that he really bought the piano. It can produce 100 kinds of tones. I enjoyed playing it. Thank you and yellow blue bus, Mikhail.

Rica's room

Rica held a party yesterday. Rica's room is usually messy but she cleaned it before the party started. We had a good time. Thank you, Rica!
One day, when Shiho and I wanted to enter Rica's room, Rica refused. Shiho and I were sad, you know?
However, we had a plan! We waited for Rica to open the door in front of her room. We thought this plan would work, but in the end Rica realized that we were there because she peeked out from the peephole. We will manage to enter your messy room someday. Be prepared, Rica!

dance and romantic party!

I danced with OG, Mikhail and Niisha on Sunday August 7. I have never danced with somebody before, but really enjoyed dancing. Rika told me that OG is  sexier than I am. hahaha
Alex Po and I held a romantic room party on Wednesday August 10. We invited OG, Mikhail, Lei, Rika, Shiho, and Dyvia. We listened to music and sang songs without light. After that, we went outside and sat on the bench at 2 am.
I will never forget both of the nights' events.

Let's go Mets!!

I went to a baseball game with my classmates! Some my classmates made a paper plane on the bus, and I learned how to make one, too. When I arrived at the stadium, I felt like I was in a video game. The screen displayed the words 'make noise', so I yelled. My classmates were surprised with my loud voice. I do not know much about baseball, but dreamt to go to a baseball game in America because saw an animation about the Major Leagues. Unfortunately, the Mets lost the game 3 to 2.

At a dorm

Shiho and I stayed in our dorm, and watched music videos on You Tube. Then, we made a plan to go to Niagara Falls and go to Japanese restaurants. I cannot wait!!

Karaoke Party!

I had a karaoke party yesterday. Lei, Shiho, Alex Po and Rika came to my room and we sang and listened to a lot of music. We watched Japanese, Chinese and Russian TV idols on You Tube. I found that each country has different views on the idols. Russian girls like men who are a man. Japanese girls like boys who are cute. Chinese girls like... I cannot describe! Sorry(><)

Bananas

I put bananas in my fridge but they became black! I think that bananas mellow easier when they are in the fridge.

Chocolate

Shiho and I tasted different types of chocolates. Shiho's chocolate was melted, so we ate it with spoons.

I bought a refrigerator.

Majed drove his car for my friends and I to the Path mark. I am very happy to have a fridge in my room!!

Basketball

Shiho is good at playing basketball and she taught me how to play it. Thank you, Shiho!

Cheese cake factory.

Lei is crazy about an American show called the Big Bang Theory. She really wanted to go to the cheese cake factory because a character in the drama works at the restaurant. I ordered the shrimp pasta and it was so nice!

The whole foods market.

I went to the whole foods market and bought a lot of food. I ate curry for lunch and it was delicious!

The gym.

I enjoyed playing volleyball, but my friend got a bruise on her wrist.

I went to THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART.

Instead of class, my classmates, teachers and I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I sat between Alex Po and Mikhail on the bus. I was so happy because they are my ideal. I had pancakes and yoghurt for breakfast,but I ate six sandwichhes on the bus!!  Alex Po and someone who did not come did not eat the sandwiches, so I ate theirs. Anyway, I will go on a diet starting tomorrow. The Metropolitan Museum is big. I walked and walked. I thought that if I came here alone, I would be lost. When I entered Japanese Art section, I felt comfortable. I really wanted to sit on Tatami mat. When I see a lot of things, I  feel a little dizzy.  There are a lot of things in the museum, so I consequently felt dizzy. My head is still throbbing now.

I played many sports!

I went to the recreation center. First,  Alex Po and I played basketball. Second, Lei joined us and we played racquetball. Although it was the first time for me to play racquetball, I played well!! maybe haha.
Third, we played badminton. Forth, Alex Po and I went to the gymnasium, and we used a lot of machines to develop our muscles. When I went to the gym alone, I walked only thirty minutes-it seemed like many hours to me. While one hour exercising with Alex Po, felt like a moment. She is so nice!! She explained to me how to use the machines. I do not need my personal trainer because she can be  my personal trainer. I enjoyed playing sports, though I have muscular pain. Ouch!

I joined yoga and pirates blend class.

I went to the gym with Rica, and we took a yoga and pirates blend class. It was really hard, but I want to take the class again. The teacher spoke English so fast that I could not understand what she said. I just watched and copied the movements of the teacher. I think that perhaps she used some terminology like cobra. After, we met Alex Po, and she joined us playing ping-pong and volleyball together. I had a great time with you!!
I went to a office to check my ID card. Against all expectations, it turned out that I have a lot of money in my card! I went to Hollywood to buy something to eat, but I ate too much cheese. As a result, I am full now. I do not want to see cheese for a while.

It is fun to talk with my friends!

I went to the bathroom to take a shower, but I ran into my friends in the bathroom. We talked about how to date a man who has a car. We practiced the beginning of the conversation. For example, 'Hello, how are you? My name is ----. nice to meet you. By the way, do you have a car?' We laughed and we talked about some relationships between men and women. I listened to one of my friends' responses, and it turned out that she gets jealous easily. However, I hope that she will  get a American boyfriend who has a car in the near future!!

I felt like an actress in a movie!

I walked around on my campus with my roommate. We enterd a building and we went to a room. We stayed there for a while, but suddenly we heard that someone cme into the building! We were surprised and ran away from the building. While running, my roommate and I laughed a lot, but her eyes were watery. She said that she was really afraid of someone. Although I cannot explain this feeling clearly, I felt like I was in a movie! I will never be able to forget what happened today.

I met Monkton again!!
The owner told me that Monkton likes me! I fed him, and I was happy♪♪

I passed the forest.

I stayed in my dorm, and tried to write a blog entry. I read my blog and suddenly realized that I wrote that  I planned to take a walk on suturday!! Then, I walked for 30 minutes. I was scared to walk through the forest, but my curiosity got the better of me. I walked alone and there were two paths. I knew that one of the ways leads to Hillwood building, but I did not know the other way. I chose to pass the way which I did not know and found a large parking lot. I thought that this parking lot perhaps leads to the recreation center. I ran the parking lot. Now I know my campus much better!

I went to the shopping mall.

I went to the city bank and renewed my account. After that, I went to the shopping mall with my friends.
I bought many clothes and some groceries. However, I spent over $200!! Moreover, we could not eat dinner, because we were caught up in shopping. I ate some snacks for dinner. Anyway, shopping with my friends was fun!!! I want to go shopping with my friends again.

I went to the gym.

I went to the gym, and I got my personal trainer. I used the walking machine, and I walked 30 minutes!! I wanted to know my weight, but I had never seen the type of scale they have at the gym and I did not know how to use it. The staff told me that I can know my weight in pounds. Finally, I gave up using the scale, because  I cannot convert pounds into kilograms. I burned 300 calories up, but I ate a Hamburger.

My plans for this weekend.

   I will go to Hicksvill on Friday. I have to go to the city bank, because I want to finish opening my account . My account is temporary and not official account, because I did not bring some documents when I went to the city bank previously. Afterwards, I will go to target  to buy something to eat like ramen.
  On Saturday, I will take a walk to lose some weight.
  I will hit the books on sunday. I really want to pass the final exam, and I want to enter the graduate university.

The best meal I have had in the USA.

   I went to Glen Cove, and I ate American sushi. I am Japanese, but I did not know American sushi like Alaska roll or Boston roll. I asked the waitress what Alaska and Boston rolls are. She said that Alaska roll is salmon with avocado, and Boston roll is shrimp with avocado and lettuce. Then, I ordered Alaska roll and yellowtail roll. They were delicious!! I want to introduce these sushi variations to Japan.

I strolled on the campus.

 I strolled my campus alone. I met a man and a horse. I talked to him, and I touched the horse. The horse name is Monkton, and he is 5 years old. He is very big!! But he is still growing.
   I had a very good day today, because I talked a lot with my classmates.

I have a diligent roommate.

My roommate goes to the library to study English every day. I really respect her, because I do not want to study every day. However, I love her, and I am her stalker, so I have to go to the library every day. I just sit next to her, and I do my homework. Even if I finish my homework, I have to stay at the library to stay with her, so I usually read the New York Times. I was a lazy student when I was in Japan, but I am a diligent student now. She asks me whether or not I am going to go to the library after class, and I must say yes. I think that it is good for me to have a diligent friend like her.

My roommate and I went on a date!!

   My roommate and I went to a mansion to take pictures. Here are the photos!
Afterwards, we went to a church. I played the piano. My roommate really loved my music, so I taught her how to play the piano. She did not know anything about piano. She did not know where C or F is. However, I was surprised at her talent, because she was able to  understand what I told her and she was able to play the music after a short time.
Before I came to America, I often wanted to quit learning the piano. I thought that playing the piano was boring and stressful, but now I can help my roommate to play the piano. It is the first time that I felt glad that I can play the piano.

I explored my campus.

   I took a lot of pictures, because my university has pretty buildings and beautiful nature.
When I was taking a picture of the house, bees followed me!!!!! I was scared!!!!!

The beach.

   I met two Chinese girls and stayed at their house yesterday. They were kind. I watched American dramas on the internet. Then, I shared a bed with my roommate and enjoyed talking with my friends.
  
The ocean and the beach were beautiful. I took many pictures. However, there were many insects, so I  spent some time riding on a swing to whisk flies away.

I saw 'Sister Act'!

   I went to the Broadway to see 'Sister Act'. It was amazing!
 I wish I could sing songs like them.
